Appointments for the Fall, 2013 semester will begin the second week of classes, September 9, 2013. During the first week of classes, advising is available on a drop-in basis only. Please refer to the Drop-in Hours Calendar.
Advising appointments may now be made through the WiscCal Scheduling Assistant. All major declarations require an appointment. You must have a NetID to make an appointment. Please click this link for instructions on how to use WiscCal. A video tutorial can be found here. We have three advisors in the Psychology Department, please try to schedule your appointment with your assigned advisor as outlined below.
If you are a transfer student OR your last name begins with A-E, please meet with Melanie Jones.
If your last name begins with F-Z, please meet with Valerie Johnson.
If you are a student in the Honors program (Honors in the Liberal Arts or Honors in the Major) OR on probationary status, please meet with Stephanie Osborn.
Appointments may be made up to two weeks in advance, with at least a 24 hours advance notice. Students are allowed only one appointment in a two week period. Please note that students are limited to one 20-minute appointment within a two-week interval. If you need to cancel an appointment, you may do so through WiscCal. Links are available through the UW homepage and in MyUW. Step by step instructions are available on the UAS website.
Please also note that there is a high demand for advising in the Psychology Department. It is common for appointments to be filled quickly. Requests for appointments cannot be made via email. If you have more immediate advising needs, please refer to the weekly Drop-in hours. All students, regardless of their assigned advisor, may attend drop-in advising.
Students who are more than 10 minutes late for an appointment will be required to reschedule.
Are you a prospective student?
